Wait 3 days after using disinfectants of any type, including cleaners that contain bleach, germ killers or hydrogen peroxide before using our products as they can kill the odor destroying natural microbes in Nature’s Secret Weapon dog urine odor remover. For information on types of disinfectants, their safety & recommended uses, just call one of our odor control experts.
As soon as you can, remove as much dog urine as possible from hard surface floors so that urea crystals aren’t formed. Urea crystals are hard to dissolve and make dog urine odor removal more difficult. A few quick sprays of Nature’s Secret Weapon Ultra Concentrate used to clean urine will instantly eliminate even the strongest dog urine odors making cleaning a more pleasant experience.
- Important Dog Urine Carpet Replacement Information!
Unfinished wood and concrete floors can pose a serious problem if not properly treated. We receive lots of calls about dog urine odor coming through newly installed carpet and padding. We've even had calls about urine odor penetrating through newly installed tile floors!
Unfinished wood and concrete floors are porous and can wick urine below their treatable surface areas through capillary action. That's why treating the surface of dog urine soaked floors with an odor remover often doesn't work and why offensive odors often come up through practically any type of new floor covering.
If your flooring has urine soaked areas, please call one of our dog urine odor experts for instructions on how to treat and seal it before installing any other floor covering. We get far too many calls from people who wish they had!
- How to Get Rid of Dog Urine Odor in Carpeting
Remove as much urine as possible by blotting up with paper towels. Inspect entire carpeting area at night with our LED UV stain light prior to treatment. After locating all dog stains, treat by spraying with a 1:2 solution (1 part concentrate to 2 parts water) of Nature’s Secret Weapon Ultra Concentrate following instructions on bottle. Make sure to use enough solution to penetrate through the carpet padding to the floor beneath. A syringe available from any drug store works great for pinpoint applications. After odor has been removed, thoroughly dry with a fan to prevent mold and mildew growth.
- How to Clean Dog Urine from Hardwood Floors
Over the years, we’ve gotten man calls from pet owners who have odor problems with their tongue & groove hardwood floors. Dog urine penetrates deep into the cracks of tongue & groove flooring. Even the best surface cleaning will fail to remove odors trapped deep within the cracks between boards.
We recommend applying Nature's Secret Weapon in a 1:2 (1 part Ultra Concentrate to 2 parts water) directly over the cracks using a sponge to push solution where the dog urine has gone. Long term exposure to pet urine may require several treatment applications. Nature’s Secret Weapon is a highly effective dog and cat urine odor remover for any “water safe” wood floor.
- Removing Dog Urine Odor from Concrete Floors
Unfinished concrete floors are porous and can wick urine below their treatable surface areas through capillary action. Treating unfinished concrete floors with repeated urine exposure may require additional treatment methods. Call one of our dog odor experts for details on treating these floor conditions.
Treat concrete floors by spraying with a 1:2 solution (1 part concentrate to 2 parts water) of Nature’s Secret Weapon Ultra Concentrate following instructions on bottle.
